Shri Kalyanika Himalaya Devasthanam · in partnership with eclipse
Where the Himalayas meet the soul
Yoga, meditation and satvik living at Dol Ashram in the Kumaon Himalayas — taught in an unbroken lineage, hosted in a sanctuary of forest, stone and snowline air.
About Dol Ashram
A sanctuary of satvik living in the Kumaon Himalayas
Shri Kalyanika Himalaya Devasthanam — known to its students as Dol Ashram — sits among pine ridges above the Kumaon valleys, with the high Himalaya on the horizon. Life here follows a simple daily order: asana and pranayama at first light, scriptural study, seva, sattvic meals grown and cooked on site, and evening chanting.
It is a working ashram rather than a resort. Guests join the rhythm of the place, and that discipline — quiet, unhurried and consistent — is what makes the practice hold long after the journey home.
- Authentic yogic and Vedic education
- Daily meditation and inner practice
- Sattvic kitchen and Ayurvedic care
- Seva and community living

The Founder
Tapomurti Baba Kalyan Das Ji
Shri Kalyanika is built upon the life, vision and guidance of Tapomurti Baba Kalyan Das Ji, a revered teacher in the Udasin lineage. Babaji dedicated decades to building centres of learning — ashrams, gurukulams and retreats across India — devoted to authentic yogic and Vedic education, meditation, satvik lifestyle, selfless service and community upliftment.
“The Divine is not far from you. It lives in the silence of your own heart. Purify the mind through meditation and selfless service. When the mind becomes still, the Guru within awakens.”
